Xylem Vue's Real-Time What-If Scenarios application provides a real-time digital twin of wastewater systems to support operational decision-making. It leverages real-time and near-future insights, as well as what-if scenario capabilities, to optimize urban wastewater and drainage system operations.

The application, which is part of the Xylem Vue platform, enables utilities to provide world-class service to the communities they serve while minimizing potential economic and environmental damage during extreme events.

  • Data integration and standardization from all sources, regardless of technology or vendor, using advanced algorithms, before uploading it to the hydraulic model.
  • Information on the status of any point in the network, supporting early decision-making across a wide range of scenarios. The application leverages the current or expected state of the network, as well as the weather forecast for the following 24 hours, to warn about flooding and enable operators to build and test what-if scenarios in advance.
  • Suggestion of near-optimum control scenarios from an operational and maintenance perspective to prevent or minimize the impact of events caused by CSOs and urban floods, and to guide utilities in both new and master infrastructure planning.
