Ultraviolet light treatment is a widely recognized and proven method of disinfection of water and has several advantages over other disinfection methods like chlorination and ozonation. The Evoqua LF UV System generates a UV dosage of at least 30,000 microwatt-seconds per square centimeter, even at the end-of-lamp life, which is more than sufficient to destroy most waterborne microorganisms, such as bacteria, yeasts and algae.
The Evoqua LF UV System reaction chamber is constructed of 316SS, suitable for high purity water loops and other deionized water applications. The system includes a UV lamp for disinfection, but optional UV lamps for additional TOC destruction can be purchased. See the related materials options below for details.
