Role at Xylem

Hayati Yarkadas leads Xylem Europe with responsibility for all Xylem businesses in the region.

He also heads the company’s global Water Infrastructure business, bringing together all aspects of Xylem’s Dewatering, Transport, and Treatment businesses. This includes the market-leading brands Flygt and Godwin in the municipal and industrial wastewater markets.

In addition, as head of Xylem’s Lifecycle Services business, Hayati and his team help customers ensure their operations run efficiently through installation and commissioning, repair and maintenance, system and asset optimization, aftermarket parts and rental services.

Professional Background

Hayati joined Xylem in 2020 and has more than 25 years of general management and commercial experience, including as:

  • President of Performance Materials for Trinseo, a leading materials company based in Switzerland, also leading the company’s global Procurement function
  • Senior Vice President and General Manager of Tate and Lyle, Europe, a global food ingredients business
  • General Manager of the DuPont Teijin Films business in Europe and Global Business Director of Dupont’s U.S. Advanced Glass Interlayers business
  • Earlier in his career, Hayati held a series of sales, marketing and strategy roles at DuPont, Deloitte Consulting Group, and Borusan

Hayati also brings a diverse range of cultural knowledge from his experience living and working in five countries across three different continents.

Community Impact

Hayati is an advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including serving as the Global Champion for DE&I at Xylem. He is also an avid proponent for empowering women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

In the community, Hayati volunteers with Rainbows4Children, a Swiss and UK foundation that provides education for disadvantaged children in Ethiopia, and is involved with Humanitas, a nonprofit that provides professional support to individuals in impoverished areas around the world.
