Hot Springs: Increasing system visibility and reducing non-revenue water

City of Hot Springs

Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States

Hot Springs combines the power of multiple Xylem digital solutions to improve operational efficiency, increase network performance and reduce water loss

Project Objective

Improve operational efficiency by increasing network performance visibility and implementing a comprehensive water loss solution across Hot Springs’ 14 DMAs and 923 miles of water main which include 43,000 AMI meters, 11 elevated / ground storage tanks and two water treatment facilities.

Project Details

A collaborative project between Xylem and Idrica, Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua’s Leak Detection application was deployed along with Xylem’s digital solutions (Sensus Analytics, Revenue Locator, and Water Loss Management), the Sensus Flexnet communication network, and Sensus meters.

Client Benefits

By utilizing the combined power of these solutions, Hot Springs can securely monitor water data being transmitted from 14 DMAs via the Sensus FlexNet communication network. Initial results show advanced pressure regulation capabilities and have shown a reduction in non-revenue water and increased targeted leak detection.

“The Xylem and Idrica teams have been exceptionally responsive. Their solutions have helped us identify where our most severe water loss is occurring and ensure we’re focusing our efforts where it will have the biggest impact.”
