Clean air, clean water, we all crave a sustainable future in which we haven’t depleted the earth’s resources and doomed ourselves to a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Global temperatures are rising, energy resources are rapidly depleting, yet we all take for granted the delivery of drinking water to our taps and piping hot, high-pressure showers at the end of a hard day.
As a society we are rapidly facing the reality that our current actions will directly determine how long our environment lasts. We can no longer afford to be complacent when it comes to our buildings and water systems; we need to think now about minimising the impact they have on the environment.
The reality is that we need to ensure we create sustainable systems that minimise emissions, maximise resources and, wherever possible, run on sustainable sources of energy.
