Global Omnium deploys Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua to expand digital transformation of utility processes and infrastructure.
Project Objective
To expand digital transformation initiatives beyond the city of Valencia, and effectively manage up to 400 different services across a widely dispersed geographical area. Due to the nature of the project and the stakeholders involved, Global Omnium needed to integrate the systems, sensors, and communication protocols which were already installed across the various infrastructures it managed.
Project Details
Over time, the entire suite of Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua applications, for both water and wastewater, were integrated into the utility’s main systems (ERP, CMMS, GIS, etc.), along with data obtained from its infrastructure.
Outcomes
This holistic approach to utility management has resulted more than a 15% increase to overall operational efficiency. They have also seen an 18% reduction in water loss and an average increase of 25% to hydraulic system efficiency. Additionally, by optimizing sewer network resources, Global Omnium has reduced operating costs, and the number of customer complaints has been lowered by 60%.
