Recognizing the need to improve how to protect low pressure steam heating boilers, Everett Nicholas McDonnell and Pat Miller form McDonnell & Miller. The pair introduce the automatic boiler feeder soon after.

McDonnell & Miller builds a new manufacturing facility in Chicago near Wrigley Field, affording the opportunity to bring company visitors to Cubs games.
