This year on World Water Day, March 22, Planet Water and Xylem Watermark will do something that has never been done before. Planet Water’s Project 24 will build 24 water towers in 24 hours. The towers will bring clean water and sanitation to 24,000 people across 24 communities in Cambodia. These communities will have a source of clean, safe water for the very first time.
Planet Water created Project 24, sponsored by Xylem Watermark, in order to help these impoverished communities by installing and commissioning 24 clean water filtration systems on World Water Day. This year’s theme for World Water Day 2015 is Water and Sustainable Development.
Xylem Watermark, Xylem’s initiative to provide and protect safe water resources for communities in need around the world and educate people about water issues, has pledged to fund the building of the first and last water towers to help make a significant mark on Cambodia’s water crisis.
