Residential Course

The Residential Course covers all Xylem pumps for residential applications, including end suction, multistage, drainage, sewage pumps, rainwater harvesting and booster sets. In addition, the three-day class covers motors, mechanical seals and residential drives. Attendees will receive instruction on sizing, applications, features/benefits of each product, and interactive training in the demonstration classroom. The residential course also includes a plant tour of the manufacturing facility in Montecchio, Italy. Each attendee will learn how to select and size the correct pump for the application. In addition, attendees will gain valuable experience regarding installation, set-up, and troubleshooting of residential pumps.

DAY 1

Residential Product Portfolio

A complete overview of the Xylem portfolio for the residential market, including pumps, controls, Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and booster sets.
Duration: 1 hour.

End suction Pumps

A complete presentation of Xylem end suction pumps starting from the small block pump in pressed stainless steel up to the large casted tailor-made pumps, together with their main applications.
Duration: 1,5 hours.

Multistage Pumps

A complete presentation of Xylem residential multistage pumps, one of the most extensive ranges available in the market, starting from the small horizontal e-HM up to e-SV pumps, together with their main applications.
Duration: 1,5 hours.

Variable Speed Drives (VSD)

A complete presentation of Xylem drives and monitoring systems; a comprehensive portfolio of Variable Speed Drives for all residential applications.
Duration: 1 hour.

DAY 2

Booster Sets

During this session attendees learn how to select, size and program the different booster set units combined with various electronic equipment. After a general overview on different configurations, attendees will have the chance to set a real boosting system in different simulated conditions.
Duration: 3 hours.

Wastewater Pumps

A complete presentation of Xylem wastewater/sewage pumps for residential, covering different impeller technologies  available. The attendees also see different pumps working in various conditions on a  demonstration unit.
Duration: 2 hours.

DAY 3

Factory Tour

Xylem’s facilities adopt the Lean Manufacturing approach, reducing the delivery time and waste with very high flexibility. During the tour the visitor has the possibility to see all the different steps in the manufacturing process, starting with the raw material up to shipment of the final product.
Duration: 1,5 hours.

Packages

A technical session dedicated to the packages created by Xylem for the residential market, together with the latest technologies for renewable systems. Attendees learn how to select and in which channel these packages are most suitable.
Duration: 1 hour.

Rainwater Harvesting Systems

Hydroinfinity, the rainwater harvesting system developed by Xylem, allows recycling of rainwater and its different uses, using the integrated filtration and UV system. For all those markets where water scarcity is becoming a daily problem.
Duration: 2 hours.
