Disc Aerators offering reduced lifecycle costs

  • Deliver additional aeration capacity to handle increased influent loading
  • Eliminate dead zones
  • Eliminate splashing that clogs mechnical components
  • Keep equipment cleaner to lengthen service life
  • Provide biological nutrient removal with existing tanks in series operation
  • Reduce energy costs by up to 40 percent in series operation
  • Offer stormflow management capabilities in series operation
  • Eliminate risk of flooding bearings during high-flow events

When brush rotors in oxidation ditch applications approach their useful life, a prudent upgrade option is to replace them with Evoqua's OX™ Disc Aerator. Existing tanks can be used, and disc aerators allow for improved mixing efficiency, lower energy use, simpler operation, and less maintenance. The non-metallic OX disc aerator s do not deteriorate or corrode like carbon steel brush rotors, the expected life of the system is at least 20 years. In contrast, brush rotors typically last an average of only five to ten years.

  • Maximim immersion of 24" vs 14 with brush aerators
  • 4x greater mixing power compared to brushes
  • Less splashing and aerosols compared to brushes
  • Shaft and Bearing higher out of the water leading to less maintenance for staff.
