Function and use of remote tank switch

With the Remote Tank Switch accessory you can automatically control filling of remote tanks. The Remote Tank Switch is used where the tank that is being filled is too far away to use a LORENTZ tank full switch accessory.

The Remote Tank Switch is installed on the discharge pipe (or hose) close to the pump controller. A float valve (not included) is installed in the tank situated at the end of the discharge line.

The Remote tank switch also includes a non-return valve to prevent water flowing back through the pipe into the water source.

The non return valve reduces the pipe refill time when the pump is switching on and off.

When the tank is empty, the float valve opens, activating the pump through the Remote Tank Switch. If the tank is full, the float valve closes and stops the water flow. This action triggers the controller to stop the pump, via a signal coming from the remote tank switch.

Every 15 minutes, the controller will start to analyze whether the tank needs to be filled or not.

Activation

The activation of the Remote tank switch must be done only through the S-Connect app by following the instructions below:

  • Log into the S-Connect app and select your pumping system.
  • Select "Settings" and then "Advanced Settings".
  • Activate the "Tank switch" button and then select "Remote tank switch".
  • Apply the changes
