Xylem Ignite is our global youth program to build a strong network of passionate student leaders and empower them to drive real changes in the water industry.

We recognize the mounting environmental challenges impacting humankind and the need to prepare the next generation of young talents to solve water issues. Under our 3 key program pillars – Innovation, Education & Community Involvement, many activities ranging from hackathons to the Incubator program, are held to enroll, ignite and nurture our NextGen Water Leaders.

It is a critical moment in time for water, but also one with incredible new opportunities. If you’re passionate about solving water, we welcome you to join our activities!

Key Initiatives

  • Innovation Challenge

    An 8-week long competition exclusively held by Xylem, typically in spring, that challenges students globally from high schools and colleges with a problem statements in which they use problem solving, creativity and strategic thinking abilities to solve real-world water challenges.

  • Innovation Incubator

    The incubator provides mentorship and resources from Xylem to high school and college students that have an existing innovation or research project they would like to develop further.

  • Watermark for Youth

    Xylem Watermark, the company’s corporate social responsibility program, is an integral part of realizing Xylem’s vision: a world where water issues are no longer a barrier to human health, prosperity and sustainable development.

  • Water Masterclass

    A program designed to enhance students’ knowledge on the water domain through inspiring virtual classes conducted by expert speakers from Xylem. Brief 10 – 15 min lectures delivered by expert speakers, mixing in motivational speaking.

  • Stockholm Junior Water Prize

    Xylem Ignite is a proud partner of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP).

    The SJWP is the world's most prestigious award presented to a high school student for a water-research project.
