What to Expect at Xylem Reach 2022

Are you reaching farther with us this year?

If you’ve attended a Xylem Reach conference in the past, you understand that the learning, technology exposure, networking and fun at this event are unmatched.

Our annual customer event brings together leaders and industry professionals across the electric, gas, water and smart city sectors to connect, learn and grow around the challenges and opportunities they face every day!

Meet us Oct. 9-12 in Washington, D.C. for 100+ educational and hands-on sessions, multiple networking opportunities, and even a chance to give back to the local community through a Xylem Watermark event. If you can’t make it to Washington, D.C., there is still a ton of great content packed into the virtual event Oct. 11-12!

Here are a few of the session highlights you don’t want to miss:

Water

How HCWA Leverages AMI, GIS and Other Solutions to Improve Process and Efficiencies: With ongoing growth, traffic, attrition rate, and other everyday obstacles to overcome, Henry County Water Authority’s AMI team has focused on going beyond just AMI solutions to improve processes, reduce workload and eliminate truck rolls creating a smarter more efficient utility.

Cordonel – The New Sensus Ultrasonic Water Meter: Learn about the Cordonel ultrasonic water meter. We’ll provide an overview of the technology, features, benefits and applications. You’ll learn about its three-channel measurement, use of parabolic fins, U0D0 application and more.

Gas

What Does Hydrogen Mean for the Gas Industry?: This session will discuss a framework for utilities and manufacturers to follow to begin the hydrogen transition. We will discuss existing research and measures surrounding hydrogen and natural gas blending and how hydrogen may impact the gas industry in the future.

Moving Beyond Billing: Taking Your Gas AMI to the Next Level: Now that you’ve deployed AMI, what’s next? Hear from energy utilities with several years of AMI experience. They’ll share how they’ve moved beyond billing to draw new insights from their distribution network. Learn how they’re applying data gathered from meters and sensors to give their customers.

Electric

Managed Disconnect – A New Way to Control Loads: Currently, disconnecting a customer’s electric service is done by opening or closing the switch from the Device Manager or sending a series of commands to groups of meters. But what if you could schedule disconnects for individual meters or groups weeks in advance? Join us to learn how remote disconnect works and how managing disconnects in a proactive manner can benefit your utility and customers.

Best Practices to Manage Power Outage Events: Extreme weather events are happening more frequently, and utilities often face challenges, unlike anything they have seen before. We’ll review several large-scale outage and restoration events and learn what went well and what didn’t.
