Shipyards are places where ships (cargo ships, passenger ships, yachts etc) are built, maintained and repaired. On large ship yards you’ll find dry docks, warehouses, special cranes and painting facilities to enable the manufacture of ships. Xylem pumps are used for drainage and dewatering of the shipyards, as well as the emptying of docks.
