One in eight people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water. Xylem Watermark and Planet Water are working to change this by providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene education to communities in need. So far their projects have reached 48,000 people.
Xylem Watermark, Xylem’s corporate citizenship and social investment program, aims to develop sustainable solutions to water challenges, by combining community-based interventions with regular monitoring to ensure projects meet local water needs for years to come. Planet Water and Xylem Watermark, and more than 150 Xylem employee volunteers, have built 48 water towers throughout China, India, the Philippines and Cambodia.
